When this building was originally constructed it did not have air condition. In order to provide some cooling window air conditioning units were used. Strunk-Albert Engineering provided a design for a central air conditioning system that was based around a variable refrigerant ductless split system. This was done because of inadequate space for ductwork in insufficient room for large air handling units. These units are also heat pumps so that they can provide supplemental heat in the swing season.
