A new 7,000 sq ft dealership for Kia was constructed adjacent to the existing GMC dealership. This new facility included a showroom for cars, sales offices, service center, and parts storage. The goal for this project was to keep the MEP design simple and low cost yet still function properly to serve the needs of the building use. This included packaged roof top HVAC units with programmable thermostats in the sales area and gas fired unit heaters with mechanical ventilation in the service area. The electrical design included a gas detection system to automatically energize the exhaust system and high intensity lighting in the show room area.
