A new college campus was created on a 75-acre site, which included classroom, administrative, and student activities buildings. SAE was responsible for complete MEP design for the three new buildings along with the associated campus infrastructure. The engineered systems include: a geothermal ground exchange system with a central plant heat recovery chiller, primary/secondary variable-speed pumping,VAV air distribution systems, medium-voltage campus distribution, central standby generator and emergency distribution, automatic daylight harvesting controls and dimming, 500 kW on-site photovoltaic solar system, extensive IT/data cabling system infrastructure, and fire suppression systems with on-site fire pump and water storage tank. The project was designed to qualify for LEED® Silver certification.
