…we’ve always been green

Strunk-Albert Engineering has a long history of being energy conscious and continually looking to implement technologies and operating sequences that lower the built environment’s energy consumption, while be conscious of the life cycle costs. We are equally concerned about the functionality and serviceability of the systems that are ultimately installed. Energy efficient systems only remain efficient if they can be properly maintained. We have applied appropriate engineering technology and practices to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our staff works closely with the architects and owners to ensure a thorough understanding of the owner’s needs and the architect’s vision for the building. This approach, combined with our longstanding desire for energy efficiency and best cost / benefit to the owner makes for a successful project and a happy Owner.

Strunk-Albert Engineering is committed to incorporating and integrating the principles of sustainable design in all our projects. When feasible we incorporate design practices outlined in the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED® Green Building Rating System™. LEED® provides a definitive standard for what constitutes a “green building”. To this end we have incorporated “green” technology in our own office building which include: geo-exchange heat pumps, lighting control system, computerized energy management system, variable frequency motor drives, high performance building insulation, and ventilation air energy recovery.

Strunk-Albert Engineering’s staff includes two LEED Accredited Professionals.
