Communication

SAE’s partners and staff believe that the key to project success is effective communication. We begin each project by listening closely and clearly understanding the project goals and client expectations. Our staff continuously communicates all aspects and details of the project with the other team members. SAE’s Project Manager will update the client on the status of the work and will transmit a coordination list of open items throughout the critical phases of design. Finally, critical to a successful execution of the project, SAE communicates the details of the work to the contractor through our clear and concise construction documents.

Experience

The SAE team has completed projects in more than 15 states. Our prime market areas include; Commercial, Corporate, Education, Government, Institutional, Industrial, Residential, Retail, and Religious. In addition to the professional design experience SAE staff members have, many of our employees also have hands-on experience in the field installing the types of systems they are now designing. SAE carefully balances the systems being designed from the perspectives of energy efficiency, maintainability, functionality, constructability, and cost.

SAE partners believe that the client’s satisfaction is critical to our firm’s continued success.  Each assignment is personally managed by one of the partners, and many times both are involved. We strive to maximize the value of the design in order to achieve the best possible project outcome for the Client. Much of our workload comes from repeat clients, which is a testament to our commitment to successfully meet their expectations.

Quality Control

Our firm has maintained the delicate balance between being large enough to handle multiple assignments concurrently and executing larger projects without compromising quality. However, we are still small enough to provide direct hands-on involvement of our Partners and Senior Engineers on all projects. SAE’s partners always initiate a new project and frequently are involved with site investigations, establishing design concepts, performing calculations, document review, and construction reviews. The partners review assignments and schedules during a weekly staff meeting and manage the workflow through the office to accommodate a flexible deadline schedule. We are proud of our track record in completing assignments on time, on budget, and with minimal change orders.
